All month long, the Calvert LMC will focus on recycling, conserving our natural resources, and learning what we can do to help the world we live in. As your students visit the library during April, they will experience ways that they can help be better stewards of our resources and brainstorm ways they can make a difference. Be sure to stop by and check it out!
Recycling for a cause!
During the month of April, students and staff are encouraged to bring in the soda pop tabs found on aluminum cans. These will be collected and taken to be recycled at the Ronald McDonald House. This is just a small token of what we can do to help protect our environment. Have the students bring down the tabs to the library beginning on Monday, April 4. There will be a big container to put them in. (Please do not let them bring down 1 at a time--have them collect a few before they come to the LMC) Happy Recycling!
Paper Recycling
Calvert does have a bin in front of the school for paper recycling. Encourage your students to bring any clean, dry paper to put in the bins. Create a box or bin in your own classroom to house these papers. Go with your class once a week to dump papers in the large bin (never send students unattended). Your efforts earn our school a little extra money and help save trees. Every little bit helps!
